A Trip to the Zoo

I recently visited the Smithsonian National Zoo in Washington, D.C., and I got to see “my” panda (I adopted him several years ago)! One of the things I liked most was seeing how the zookeepers take such good care of the animals. I met David Kessler, who’s in charge of the small mammal house. He knows everything about the 142 mammals under his care! I learned about how the Zoo protects all the animals there and helps them feel at home.
