On October 17, 2012, parents and family members all across the country lined up at their kids’ cafeterias forĀ National Take Your Parents to Lunch Day. Take a look!

  • Parents and kids dined on fajita salad, corn, celery, carrot sticks, and fruit salad at Bowling Green Primary in Milford, Virginia.
  • The first-ever Lunch Day was a hit at May Independent School District in May, Texas. The meal? A very Tex-Mex beef enchilada casserole with whole wheat tortillas.
  • Proof veggies make you happy: Check out this happy parent and child digging into the salad bar at Grantham Village School in Grantham, New Hampshire.
  • Moms, dads, and kids enjoy rosemary chicken, baked sweet plantains, and fish bites with pineapple salsa at McFarlane Elementary in Hillsborough, Florida.
  • Look at that line! Nearly 600 families attended Hunt Middle School’s Lunch for Dinner event in Burlington, Vermont.
