Mac-and-cheese is my absolute favorite food. I could eat it every night of the week! So when my mom and I decided to make this dish the vegan way, I wasn’t sure how I’d like it. But guess what? It was great! And because it was vegan, our meal was actually healthier for the planet.
We used Follow Your Heart Vegan Gourmet Shreds, a nondairy cheese that tastes just like the real thing. My favorite combination was when we mixed the cheddar and mozzarella shreds and some Earth Balance Natural Buttery Spread (also vegan!) in a pot with whole wheat pasta–it was delicious.
Next, we’re trying grilled cheese with Daiya’s Cheddar Style Slices and then we’re making Follow Your Heart quesadillas. My mom and I love testing out new dishes!
