IMG_5053If you’re looking for a more eco-friendly approach to your child’s sidewalk art creations, you might consider making your own. However, many homemade variations call for carcinogenic Plaster of Paris. Instead, try chalk-style paint. We love this recipe from Kyra Sosna, the mom behind parenting blog RACKS and Mooby. Combine equal parts cornstarch and water, along with a few drops of natural food coloring. Mix together in small containers—like old baby food jars—until the cornstarch is blended to a watery consistency. Then, grab a paintbrush, and watch your young Picasso create her next masterpiece.
