Whole Childre, Whole Planet Expo 2008
May 17-18 in Northridge, CA

Imagine an event where Amy Brenneman discusses how toxic chemical and environmental pollutants affect children. Ed Begley, Jr. inspires hope for the future, while signing copies of his new book Living Like Ed, and Erin Gray gets the audience (all ages) moving, as she leads an interactive freestyle hula-hoop extravaganza – Hoopnotica!

All of this and much more awaits you at this year’s Whole Children, Whole Planet Expo, the premier natural parenting and family expo, taking place May 17-18, 2008, at Highland Hall Waldorf School in Northridge.

Explore a village filled with hands-on learning experiences; visit the STAR Eco-Station’s award-winning walk-through rainforest; learn about sustainable living practices, science (solar and wind power, etc.), music and art - a wondrous adventure for all ages.

Other highlights of the weekend include natural products, a food court with healthy tasty treats, 200 exhibitors, raffle giveaways (win big), and three stages with education and entertainment.

The Main Stage features celebrities, authors and experts sharing their wisdom about natural health, holistic medicine and environmental issues. These panel discussions will provide a forum for experts to weigh in on the hot-button topics of the day. Scheduled speakers include Sandra Tsing Loh, Betsy Chasse (What The Bleep Do We Know?), Anna Getty, Dr. Jay Gordon, Lisa Garr (The Aware Show), Councilman Greig Smith, Bill Stierie (from Scott Baio’s 46 and Pregnant show) and other special guests.

The Kitchen Stage spotlights celebrities, natural gourmet chefs and company owners sharing information on nutrition, organic foods and global issues, in an informal kitchen setting. Cambria Gordon (co-author/Laurie David), Chef Sue Cambell, Dr. Richard Visser, Gay Brown (Greenopia) …

The Yoga, Reading and Music Stage presents celebrities and authors reading children's books, musical performances, interactive theatre groups and yoga demonstrations. Scheduled performers include FoodPlay, an Emmy Award-winning theatrical production about nutrition and health; Rhythm Child, an interactive percussion group that encourages creativity and musical expression among kids and adults; and the Ohmies, a participatory theatrical experience that merges world music, yoga and creative problem solving techniques.
