Winning Dish: Health(ier) Candy Bars

⅔ cup Earth Balance Creamy Coconut & Peanut Spread
⅓ cup Lundberg Brown Rice Syrup
4 tablespoons Earth Balance Vegan Buttery Sticks
1 cup chocolate chips
1 teaspoon Neilson-Massey Pure Vanilla Extract
2 cups whole grain cereal, such as puffed brown rice, puffed wheat, or rolled oats
½ cup nuts or dried fruit

1. Combine peanut spread, brown rice syrup, butter, and chocolate chips in a saucepan until melted and smooth.

2. Remove from heat and add vanilla extract. Then, stir in cereal and dried fruit.

3. Spread evenly onto a parchment lined (or well-greased) 9-by-9-inch pan. Chill until firm, and then cut into bars. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
