Dear Reader:

KIWI is dedicated to helping parents raise their children the healthiest way possible. Our charge is to introduce families to the latest in natural and organic living—showing how to practice this lifestyle on an everyday basis.

We know that achieving the right balance between the real world and the ideal world is often difficult. Our lives are busy and our family’s schedules are often simply out of our control. So, our mission is to help you make the best choices, with the best information available, in the shortest amount of time.

Look for articles in KIWI on serving the safest and most nutritious foods along with the latest in family wellness—what’s good for your family and what’s not. Our environmental emphasis will help moms and dads raise children with an eye to the future of their planet. We’ll bring to light important social issues that affect our families. And, we’ll help to guide our readers in teaching their kids to care about people in their neighborhood, their country and the world. In short, we hope to inspire parents to achieve new heights in family growth without missing a beat.

We’re confident that you’ll like our publication. It’s been conceived with you in mind. Thanks for your interest and we look forward to getting
your feedback!

Wishing You Good Health,

Maxine Wolf

Why KIWI for a name?
You can read about it here, or you can listen to
Maxine Wolf's interview with Holistic Moms Talk Radio
where she discussed why we chose the name KIWI.

KIWI Says
Do the best you can, and that doesn’t mean doing everything. This is the KIWI motto.

  • Whatever you can do to support health whether in yourself, your family, your community or the planet—is better than nothing.
  • Buy organic foods as often as you can, but when you can’t, choose produce in season (because it’s fresher) and natural brands.
  • Not every family meal will be “healthy.” We know parents have to rush kids off to school, therefore make as many balanced and nutritious meals as you can, and pat yourself on the back for each and every one.
  • It’s not easy to control everything your kids eat. Allow your kids to try out new foods when they go to friends’ houses, but remember what they eat may be up to their friends’ parents!
  • Live more eco-friendly by recycling, walking or taking public transit instead of driving. Use air conditioning or heat more sparingly and turn off lights when you leave a room. Over time, little bits add up to a lot.
  • Show your children how to appreciate what they have compared to others. Volunteering or sponsoring a child through World Vision is a great start. Our goal of developing kind, caring children who will turn into kind, caring adults may be a long-term one, but starting now will get them there faster.

KIWI is now accepting applications
for our Parents' Advisory Board
We'll use this important panel to help us shape KIWI Magazine into the best parents' publication available. Additionally, we'll ask our panel to help evaluate products and services targeted at families like yours; so that they, too, can meet your exacting standards.
