This is a terrible thing for a writer to admit, but words are not always the best tools for communication. Sometimes paint, drums or even plants are better at helping us articulate our feelings. This is especially true for children, whose emotions can be more complex and developed than their vocabularies. And thus, specialized therapists are using art, music and horticulture to help troubled kids and teenagers heal from physical and emotional trauma.
