This is a lovely story, especially for children who have parents or other family serving in the military. Amanda and her dad have a special love for stars and fireflies, but, when he leaves to serve overseas, he recreates the night magic in her bedroom with glowing stars and fireflies. Knowing her dad is looking at the same star every night comforts her. The illustrations are gorgeous and rich.
