These school teachers turned kid-centric rock band sure use a lot of exclamation points to describe their music. Any grammarian would frown, but Recess Monkey’s Tabby Road album deserves all of the interjections they want for making a fantastic album that kids and parents will love.

It’s the kind of music that I don’t turn off after I drop the kids off at school.

Though you do hear the Beatles influence, I heard a great Paul Carrack/Squeeze sound as well. If anyone can off-gas cool, it’s Recess Monkey. You’ll love “Under My Bed” and “Green Monster” which rock out about monsters and vegetables, respectively. It’s become thew new soundtrack of my life.
