I remember vividly reading my Golden Book version of Hansel and Gretel. I can still, after several decades, remember how the witch, the house, and Hansel and Gretel looked. This book is a joy to read with its lovely, colorful illustrations and retelling of the timeless tale. I think, seeing the gorgeous colors and details of the witch’s house, I would still long to nibble, even knowing the consequences of my foolishness. Definitely a new classic for your family’s library.
