easter basketSwap a store-bought Easter basket for this DIY version using an old shoebox and washi tape (a special printed tape made from rice).

Materials

  • Shoebox
  • Scissors
  • Non-toxic glue
  • Washi tape

Directions

  1. Take the top of your shoebox and cut several 1 ½-inch wide strips. Attach strips together using glue to create one large long strip. This will be the handle for your basket.
  2. Secure one end of the strip to the inner left side of the box with glue. Once that dries, secure the remaining end to the inner right side.
  3. Decorate your basket with washi tape by creating patterns on the outer surfaces.
