Materials:

-Used pie pan or take-out tin
-Old cloth or old clothing
-Cardboard from an empty cookie box or dog biscuit box
-Empty plastic butter container or yogurt cup
-Markers
-Glue
-Stapler
-Scissors
-Ribbon
-Construction Paper

Face of the Dragon

1. Cut a circular piece of cardboard out of an empty cookie box. The circle should be the same size as the circular part of the pie pan.
2. Color the inside part of the cardboard box (the tan side) green with a marker. Tape the piece of cardboard to the pie pan.
3. Fit green construction paper around the yogurt or butter container to cover it. Also cover the bottom part of the container with construction paper. This will be the dragon’s snout.
4. The opening of the yogurt/butter container will be glued to the green circular piece of cardboard. You may decorate the snout as you like with markers and even add a red ribbon for the tongue.
5. It’s up to you what material you would like to use to make the eyes and eyebrows. We used cardboard for the eyebrows and cut pieces of cloth for the eyes. Glue onto the green cardboard.

Dragon’s Body

1. Cut long pieces (to the length you desire) of cloth from old clothing or leftover sewing cloth.
2. Attach one end of each piece of cloth (we used three) by stapling it to the rim of the pie pan at the top and one piece on each side.
3. You may decorate your cloth however you like—with markers, glitter, glue on sequins or cut out designs from a different colored cloth to glue onto your piece of cloth attached to pie pan.
