Spectacular Summer Scoops

You want to give your kids a frozen treat without the artificial ingredients and sugar overload found in so many conventional ice cream brands. Fortunately, an increasing number of natural food brands are making products that feature healthier ingredients. Three delicious options to try (shown above, from left to right):

So Delicious Everything this brand makes is dairy-free and uses non-GMO ingredients. We love the Chocolate Velvet Soymilk Frozen Dessert, which is organic, gluten-free, and vegan ($4 per pint, grocery stores).

Three Twins Ice Cream This organic brand offers all the classic flavors your kids love—with no artificial ingredients and less sugar than most mainstream brands. Our favorite: Cookies & Cream, which is made with Madagascar vanilla and organic cookies ($5 per pint, Whole Foods).

Sambazon Many fruit-flavored desserts have very little actual fruit in them, but Sambazon’s Acai Sorbet is packed with organic berries. Kids will love the sweet flavor—and you’ll love that they’re getting a healthy dose of antioxidants and omega-3s ($7 per pint, health food stores).
