| Hi Friends,
I’m really excited to tell you about two cool things—my interview with Miranda Cosgrove from Nickelodeon’s iCarly and my new purse made from recycled rice packages (seriously!).
If you haven’t seen iCarly, the show is about a webcast. So, I thought I’d get Miranda’s thoughts on kids and the web.
Maylee: What suggestions do you have for kids who want to do a web show?
Miranda: First, you should really think it out and come up with a great idea that you believe in. Then give it your best shot. Try to come up with a special talent that not many people can do.
Maylee: What age do you think kids should be allowed to go online alone?
Miranda: I feel that definitely has to be a parent’s decision. All kids and their parents think differently and have a different set of rules.
Maylee: Is the actor who plays Spencer funny in real life or just on TV?
Miranda: Jerry Trainor (Spencer) is equally funny on set and off. I’ve known him for years because he was also on Drake & Josh. Now not only does he play my brother on iCarly, but I also have the pleasure of working with him on the upcoming Nickelodeon TV movie, Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh [out in late 2008].
Thanks, Miranda!
Now...on to my new purse. Ecoist creates this neat wristlet from empty Seeds of Change microwavable rice packages. I love it because it’s really stylish and it helps the planet too! Luckily, KIWI has three purses to give away, so enter now to win one!
I hope you are having fun at school! Please e-mail me at maylee@kiwimagonline.com and let me know how it’s going!
(This is my name in Chinese)
