If you enjoyed the educational and entertaining aspects of March of the Penguins, Paramount Vantage and National Geographic Films has a new film for the environmental documentary movie lover. The upcoming eco-epic Arctic Tale takes the audience on a thrilling exploration in the North. This film follows a walrus named Seela and a polar bear, known as Nanu, on their life journey. Seela and Nanu once lived in a wonderful world of snow, now their homeland is threatened. Arctic Tale shows how their world is literally melting from under their feet. Narrated by Queen Latifah with music by Cat Stevens, Ben Harper, Aimee Mann and The Shins, this film is perfect for an educational, endearing day at the movies.
Want FREE tickets? Visit www.ArcticTaleMovie.com and click on “go to a screening.” Dates and locations vary, but it doesn’t hurt to try! Free is free, right?

We here at KIWI have joined the millions of people blogging! Last month, we launched Kiwilog our very own family-friendly online journal. Our blog will feature everything from different products we enjoy to the latest eco news. Also- every Monday we will select KIWI’s Pick of the Week. The Pick could be anything—a product, a state, a website or a person. Past picks have been the state of California, Ecorazzi and the ASPCA. We also welcome our readers to join our community and leave us comments. We love to hear back from you!

Stoking up the grill? Consider using the Big Green Egg or maybe a Sun Oven.
When barbecuing, use “lean and green” meats—organic of course, not the color green!
Serving a salad? Go organic.
When eating outside, don’t use paper plates. Try bamboo plates
instead.
Need an activity for the kids? Have them fly a kite. Try a Cobra Fly Kite
Kit.
Decorate with these recycled Tin Garden Lights.
Serving some moonshine? This Wine Barrel Basket will certainly be helpful.
Have a pool? Natural Pool Cleaner will keep it clean without destroying the environment. Also, try a chemical free treatment system.
No backyard party is complete without a deckchair. Deckchair Dreams says “Buy a deckchair, help a tree.”
Of course, don’t forget the sunblock—all natural, of course! |
