| What You Can Do For Peace Today |
| Every so often, the right message comes along at just the right time. At a point in history when the world has never needed more peace, comes a book whose message is both ageless and urgently relevant.
Where Peace Lives, by Debbie Robins, is a book about an angel named Peace who’s been locked in a glass box and can’t get out. It’s the storyteller’s journey to find the Three Keys that will set Peace free. The characters are inspired by the peace teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King, JR., Buddha, Gandhi, Christ, Moses and the Prophet Muhammad.
This is the book which Deepak Chopra, Penny Marshall, Arianna Huffington, Jane Seymour, Debbie Ford and Gore Vidal have called:

“....the coolest ride with pearls of wisdom.”
“....a beautiful invitation to practice peace.”
“....a magical fable to delight, inspire and educate.”
“....a roadmap to the soul.”
“....charming!”
Written in the vein of The Little Prince, Where Peace Lives demonstrates that peace is a choice, at every age, and in every circumstance. For every parent, child, teacher or global citizen who has ever dreamed of peace, Where Peace Lives holds Three Keys to the realization of that dream.

| Silk Green Caps |
| We already love Silk’s organic soymilk, and they just keep giving us reasons to buy. They’ve introduced their Green Caps for Green Energy Sweepstakes. Simply by saving the UPC codes on the new green capped cartons and entering them on Silk’s website, the earth friendly company will increase their green power by 30 kW hours (enough to power the average home for a day!).
As if helping the environment wasn’t enough of an incentive, Silk is also offering prizes for the UPC code entries. The grand prize is a ultimate green home makeover including an energy efficient dishwasher, refrigerator, washing machine and air conditioner, a $5,000 gift certificate from Giaim, and enough Green Tags to offset three years worth of an average home’s energy consumption.

| Mom’s Pay Day |
| Ever think to yourself, “Being a mom is a full-time job. I wish some mula would come along with it.”? Most moms do their job without pay and sometimes, without thanks. Well, Similac solves the pay problem with their Mom’s Payday contest. This contest gives one mom a monetary award of $135,000 for all the work that goes into being a mom.
What do you have to do to win a year’s salary? It’s simple. You just have to send Similac a recent photo, via online or snail mail, of you performing a “Mom job” with a caption of 50 words or fewer. You must also be either pregnant or have a child 12 months or younger at the time of entry.
We’d just like to say, “Show me the money!” Visit www.similacmomspayday.com for more information. |

| Cool Globes |
| Cool Globes is a public art project that is looking to raise awareness about global warming. It will take place in Chicago from June through September. To get youngsters into the festivities, the “Cool Globes for Cool Kids” was created.
The contest is challenging kids to create a piece of artwork shaped like a globe. Along with their globe, entrants must also submit a written description of their solutions to global warming. Students are allowed to work individually or as a group. The globe submissions must be in on Friday May 25th. The winners will be announced on the website by June 1st, and then the artwork will be displayed at the Kohl’s Children’s Museum in Glenville, Illinois.
Encourage your child to have a group of friends create a globe together. Maybe suggest to your child’s teacher to make it a classroom activity. Go to the Cool Globes website for details. |
