These festive critters are just the right mix of creepy-crawly and cute. 

Walnut shell-half
Black felt
Nontoxic black paint
Scrap wire
Wooden beads


  1. Trace the shape of the walnut shell-half on a piece of black felt; cut out the felt and set aside. Paint the shell-half black.
  2. Cut four 8-inch pieces of wire and bend each in half. Push center of each wire  inside the shell to give spider four legs per side.
  3. Glue wires in place. Stick black felt in the underside of the shell and glue in place to help secure legs. Glue black beads to the bottom of each leg and glue two colored beads for eyes.
