For those of us familiar with the stinkbug, the thought of writing a poem about this invasive, foul-smelling creature seems unlikely. Yet, we have an entire book dedicated to the poems of bugs, and nasty ones at that. The elementary school students who reviewed this book with me loved every word and immediately started composing their own poems on all things bug. Perhaps a better title for a poem about stinkbugs might be an Ode to Odor?
