Most of us grew up with National Geographic magazine and Nat Geo’s new crop of nonfiction books for kids are exactly as you’d expect: Accurate, interesting, and accompanied by amazing photography. Since every kid is born with the ‘why’ chromosome, parents will rejoice when they read National Geographic Little Kids First Big Book of Why because all of those answers to questions kids ask are there. I hate to admit how much I learned when I read this book with my first-grade daughter, but I will definitely turn to this book when I am unsure why because I definitely know where!
