This book is written for kids 10 and older, but does contain some violence including one character who has an abusive father. The mysteries unfold in this tiny, rural town in North Carolina and the cast of colorful characters are on both sides of the law when the mysteries resolve. It is a clever, humorous book with a bit of a dark side which will entertain and amuse.
