Creating plastic water bottle flowers is an easy eco-project for kids and parents to do together in just three steps!
MATERIALS
- Used plastic water bottles with the caps on
- Scissors
- Cordless drill
- Florist wire
- Nontoxic paint
Instructions
- Poke the sharp side of the scissors into the middle of a bottle, and cut the bottle in half. Working with the half with the bottle cap still on, use scissors to cut out petals all the way from the cut half up to the bottle cap. Bend the petals. Repeat with as many bottles as you like.
- Use the drill to make two small holes in the bottle cap, and run a florist wire between the two holes, twisting it tight behind the cap to act as the flower’s stem. Repeat with other bottles.
- Paint each flower.
