Makes 4 servings
8 Medjool dates, pitted
3 cups unsweetened coconut milk beverage
3 tablespoons almond butter
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, plus more for garnish

Any kid would go bananas for these creamy, chimp-inspired smoothies, sweetened naturally with dates. Be sure to use a coconut milk beverage (like one from So Delicious or Silk) found in the dairy case or alternative milk aisle.
Directions
1. Place dates in a heatproof bowl; pour enough boiling water over dates so that they’re completely covered. Allow dates to soften for 15 minutes; drain and coarsely chop.
2. In a blender, add dates, bananas, coconut milk, almond butter, and cinnamon. Blend until completely smooth.
3. Pour into 4 glasses, garnish with cinnamon, and serve.
