When we asked Holli Thompson, author of the lifestyle guidebook Discover Your Nutritional Style for her guilty pleasure, she was kind enough to reveal her recipe for a greentini, a healthier take on the traditional vodka martini. Now you can enjoy bonus nutrients while having a little fun. Find her book in stores and online, and head to hollithompson.com for more fun recipes.

Directions

1. For green juice: Rinse cucumbers, celery, spinach, chard or kale, cilantro, apple, whole lemon and 1-inch piece of ginger well. Add ingredients to a juicer and run until the liquid is smooth. (If you don’t have a home juicer, make this in a blender—it will come out as a delicious green smoothie.) Makes about 32 ounces.

2. Fill a shaker or Mason jar with 2 shots of green juice, 2 shots of vodka, juice from ½ a lemon, crushed ginger, and ice cubes. Shake well.

3. Strain and pour into your fanciest martini glass.

4. Garnish with organic candied ginger and enjoy.
