Makes 4 servings

8 ounces spaghetti

¼ cup reserved pasta water

2 cups broccoli florets, steamed

1 ripe avocado

1 cup arugula

1 clove garlic

2 Tablespoons fresh chopped basil

2 Tablespoons lemon juice

¼ cup olive oil

½ cup water

½ teaspoon salt

Fresh basil for garnish

This creamy sauce is loaded with vegetables and packs a flavorful punch. Serve on its own or pair with your protein of choice for a delicious meal.


1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add spaghetti. Cook until al dente. Make sure to reserve ¼ a cup of pasta water.

2. In a blender, add broccoli, avocado, arugula, garlic, basil, lemon juice, olive oil, water, and salt. Blend until smooth.

3. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add sauce and reserved pasta water, stirring to combine. Add cooked pasta and stir to combine. Cook for 2–3 minutes or until the sauce has thickened and coats the pasta.

4. Serve and garnish with basil.
